Description/Blazon
100th Division Band Drum

Symbolism
The colors blue and white (silver) refer to the Division's historic Infantry service.  The fleur-de-lis, powder horn and "SOLDIERS OF THE CENTURY" are adapted from their distinctive unit insignia.  The laurel branches symbolize honor and high achievement.  The four streamers at the bottom represent the Meritorious Unit Citation-EUROPEAN THEATER and the three campaign participation credits during World War II, ARDENNES-ALSACE, RHINELAND and CENTRAL EUROPE (They would be in their proper colors on the finished item).  The numerical designation on the sides of the drum recalls the 100th Division's shoulder sleeve insignia.
